O\u00f9 en est aujourd&rsquo;hui le design allemand am\u00e9ricain ? Quelles sont ses qualit\u00e9s, ses d\u00e9fauts ? Nous nous sommes lanc\u00e9s dans un test subjectif de youngtimers.<\/p>\n<h2>Diff\u00e9rente des autres<\/h2>\n<p>Les voitures \u00e0 l&rsquo;allure singuli\u00e8re ont leur charme pour bon nombre d&rsquo;entre nous. Elles suscitent presque toujours la pol\u00e9mique et, d\u00e9j\u00e0 pendant leur production et apr\u00e8s, une communaut\u00e9 de fans fid\u00e8les se forme tout autant qu&rsquo;un camp de r\u00e9fractaires ou de moqueurs. Visuellement, la Crossfire attire en tout cas l&rsquo;attention ! \u00c0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque, c&rsquo;\u00e9tait le coup de c\u0153ur &#8211; ou alors on n&rsquo;y pr\u00eatait pas attention, ce qui n&rsquo;\u00e9tait pas difficile, car beaucoup n&rsquo;ont jamais eu l&rsquo;occasion de rouler avec la deux portes. Il n&rsquo;y a pas eu d&rsquo;autres variantes. <strong>Deux<\/strong> bo\u00eetes de vitesses : les conducteurs pouvaient opter pour la bo\u00eete manuelle \u00e0 six vitesses ou commander la bo\u00eete automatique Mercedes \u00e0 cinq vitesses avec fonction Tipshift, un peu plus ch\u00e8re. Le compteur de vitesse tient fermement ses promesses.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Espace au-dessus de la t\u00eate, digne d&rsquo;une voiture de sport<\/h2>\n<p>Une fois que vous vous glissez dans le coup\u00e9 par les longues portes, vous serez plut\u00f4t confortablement assis &#8211; \u00e0 condition que vous ne mesuriez pas 1,90 m\u00e8tre. Il n&rsquo;y a tout simplement pas de place au-dessus. Les personnes de grande taille doivent donc adopter une sorte de position allong\u00e9e ou pencher la t\u00eate en permanence. En fait, on est assis dans une SLK, seule la console centrale a des boutons un peu diff\u00e9rents et le volant semble bizarre. Vers l&rsquo;avant s&rsquo;\u00e9tend le capot moteur d\u00e9mesur\u00e9ment long, et vers l&rsquo;arri\u00e8re, le regard se pose sur la petite vitre arri\u00e8re dans l&rsquo;un des hayons les plus cool de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque. La coolitude plut\u00f4t qu&rsquo;une vue d&rsquo;ensemble. Le moteur Mercedes-Benz pousse d\u00e9j\u00e0 propulse d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien dans la variante sans compresseur, mais pas avec le d\u00e9cha\u00eenement effr\u00e9n\u00e9 que l&rsquo;on attend de cette voiture \u00e0 l&rsquo;allure de supercar. Finalement, elle a plus l&rsquo;air d\u2019une am\u00e9ricaine qu&rsquo;elle ne l&rsquo;est en r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Elle est quand m\u00eame vraiment rapide. La double ligne d&rsquo;\u00e9chappement \u00e9met des bruits rauques, mais pas envahissants. Le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/produits\/chassis-115\/\">ch\u00e2ssis<\/a> est ferme, mais pas trop. La Crossfire est agr\u00e9able \u00e0 conduire, que ce soit en ville ou \u00e0 la campagne. Il faut juste \u00e9viter que les ruelles soient trop \u00e9troites, le rayon de braquage de 11,5 m\u00e8tres est du niveau d&rsquo;un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/camion\/\">camion<\/a>. La consommation de la M112 \u00ab\u00a0normale\u00a0\u00bb se situe dans une fourchette acceptable, avec un peu plus de 10 litres de Super. La plupart des autres voitures du m\u00eame type en consomment beaucoup plus.<\/p>\n<h2>Points faibles<\/h2>\n<p>La Chrysler Crossfire ne pr\u00e9sente pas de points faibles typiques qui nous feraient hurler d&rsquo;indignation. Ses origines Daimler et son assemblage chez Karmann ont donn\u00e9 naissance \u00e0 une Chrysler de grande qualit\u00e9, qui ne conna\u00eet plus les probl\u00e8mes de rouille de certains mod\u00e8les Mercedes de la fin des ann\u00e9es 90. Si vous aimez, vous avez trouv\u00e9 votre voiture !<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Au d\u00e9but, il y avait des soucis avec les batteries, mais \u00e7a devrait \u00eatre r\u00e9gl\u00e9 depuis. Si votre Crossfire a encore sa batterie d\u2019origine, vous devriez l&#8217;emmener au mus\u00e9e de la Batterie. La Mercedes R 170 Roadster est \u00e9galement une voiture solide, les visites chez le garagiste se limitent donc aux \u00ab suspects habituels\u00a0\u00bb. Tous les syst\u00e8mes d&rsquo;assistance fonctionnent-ils ? Rien ne cliquette \u00e0 120 km\/h et les freins sont-ils droits ? Le moteur et l&rsquo;hydraulique sont-ils partout \u00e9tanches ?<\/p>\n<h2>Disponibilit\u00e9 des pi\u00e8ces de rechange<\/h2>\n<p>Pour la Chrysler Crossfire, il faut \u00eatre un peu plus ing\u00e9nieux que pour les \u00ab\u00a0voitures de s\u00e9rie\u00a0\u00bb. Ce qui est utile, c&rsquo;est que pr\u00e8s de 40% des pi\u00e8ces mont\u00e9es portent une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence Mercedes-Benz, ce qui renvoie aux racines de la SLK. Ainsi, si vous recherchez des pi\u00e8ces de rechange tr\u00e8s sp\u00e9cifiques, vous pouvez consulter les clubs et les forums. Les silencieux et le radiateur d&rsquo;eau ne sont pas aussi faciles \u00e0 obtenir. Presque toutes les autres pi\u00e8ces d&rsquo;usure sont bon march\u00e9 et disponibles de suite.
