Ce type de transmission est peu co\u00fbteux \u00e0 produire, car il n\u00e9cessite relativement peu de composants de transmission. C&rsquo;est pourquoi la traction est utilis\u00e9e dans la majorit\u00e9 des voitures. Elle est standard chez la plupart des constructeurs de citadines polyvalentes et de berlines compactes.<\/p>\n<p>La traction offre une conduite stable &#8211; en particulier par mauvais temps &#8211; et convient donc parfaitement aux conducteurs novices. Les v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 traction sont en outre souvent plus spacieux aussi bien dans l&rsquo;habitacle que dans le coffre. En revanche, il existe un risque de sous-virage dans les virages emprunt\u00e9s trop rapidement. En raison d&rsquo;un rapport d\u00e9favorable entre l&rsquo;angle d&rsquo;inclinaison des roues avant et arri\u00e8re, la voiture est pouss\u00e9e vers l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur dans le virage &#8211; et donc, dans le pire des cas, vers la circulation en sens inverse. Elle offre un confort de conduite particuli\u00e8rement agr\u00e9able et dynamique. Ce type de transmission assure une transmission uniforme de la puissance \u00e0 la route, m\u00eame en cas de mauvaises conditions routi\u00e8res (neige et verglas). La transmission int\u00e9grale n&rsquo;engendre ni sous-virage ni survirage.<\/p>\n<p>La transmission int\u00e9grale est co\u00fbteuse \u00e0 produire et n&rsquo;a donc longtemps fait partie de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipement de s\u00e9rie que des v\u00e9hicules haut de gamme ou des v\u00e9hicules tout-terrain. Depuis le triomphe de la cat\u00e9gorie des SUV, les v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 transmission 4\u00d74 sont \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sents dans le segment des berlines familiales.
