Le flambeau des tricorps a \u00e9t\u00e9 transmis \u00e0 l\u2019Allemagne et au Japon. En Allemagne, on les a rendues luxueuses, techniquement irr\u00e9prochables\u2026 et hors de prix. Au Japon, elles sont devenues aussi excitantes qu\u2019un sachet de gla\u00e7ons. Puis Chrysler est arriv\u00e9.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_18251\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18251\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-18251 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/04\/Chrysler-300-1.jpg\" alt=\"Chrysler 300\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-18251\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Le 300C a un arri\u00e8re aussi massif qu\u2019une armoire<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Un_V8_qui_chante_comme_un_orgue_de_barbarie\"><\/span>Un V8 qui chante comme un orgue de barbarie<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Les ing\u00e9nieurs am\u00e9ricains ont lorgn\u00e9 du c\u00f4t\u00e9 d\u2019AMG et de BMW M, ont pris une voiture de s\u00e9rie et l\u2019ont s\u00e9rieusement vitamin\u00e9e. Dan Knott, patron de la division Street and Racing Technology, a transform\u00e9 le HEMI 5.7 en 6.1 litres, avec un taux de compression plus \u00e9lev\u00e9. Une seule came centrale pour ses 16 soupapes en alliage l\u00e9ger, moiti\u00e9 moins que la concurrence, mais avec deux bougies par cylindre. Le vilebrequin renforc\u00e9 monte \u00e0 6 400 tr\/min &#8211; exceptionnel pour un V8. Et c\u2019est tout. Pas d\u2019embrayage non plus : la bo\u00eete auto 5 vitesses retravaill\u00e9e par SRT fait le boulot, m\u00eame pied au plancher dans la zone rouge, avec un bon rugissement \u00e0 la cl\u00e9.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_18252\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18252\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18252\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/04\/Chrysler-300-2.jpg\" alt=\"Compartiment moteur\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-18252\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Six litres de HEMI. Si vous ne connaissez pas, Googlez \u00e7a.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On monte \u00e0 bord en enjambant les seuils \u00e9clair\u00e9s en bleu. La fonction m\u00e9moire ajuste automatiquement si\u00e8ge, volant et p\u00e9dales. Le moteur d\u00e9marre. On sent une micro-seconde d\u2019\u00e9change entre les calculateurs\u2026 puis les aiguilles bondissent sur les cadrans. Le ralenti est nerveux, pr\u00eat \u00e0 bondir. On engage la marche avant, on appuie sur le bouton qui d\u00e9sactive l\u2019ESP. Juste assez de libert\u00e9 pour s\u2019amuser un peu avant que l\u2019\u00e9lectronique ne vous rappelle \u00e0 l\u2019ordre. Parce que \u00ab\u00a0voiture muscl\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb, disons-le, \u00e7a sonne bof. Le Chrysler 300C SRT8, c\u2019\u00e9tait la berline au-dessus du lot. Ce qui faisait toute la diff\u00e9rence ? Son prix. En Europe, pour environ 50 000 \u20ac, on avait un mod\u00e8le neuf, sur\u00e9quip\u00e9, qui pesait deux tonnes, d\u00e9veloppait 569 Nm et filait jusqu\u2019\u00e0 265 km\/h (brid\u00e9). Des chiffres th\u00e9oriques certes, dans un pays de limitations\u2026 mais ce monstre savait aussi s\u2019arr\u00eater : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/produits\/freinage-114\/?cf_fabricant=BREMBO\">freins Brembo<\/a> de 360 mm \u00e0 l\u2019avant, 350 mm \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re, \u00e9triers 4 pistons. Ici, c\u2019est du 22 pouces.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Encore_plus_puissant_quon_ne_limagine\"><\/span>Encore plus puissant qu\u2019on ne l\u2019imagine<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Une fois bien install\u00e9 dans les si\u00e8ges \u00e9tonnamment confortables, on remarque vite les pneus taille basse mont\u00e9s sur des jantes \u00e9normes. Les 22 pouces en 255\/35 vous connectent directement \u00e0 la route. Kickdown &#8211; la berline de plus de 5 m\u00e8tres bondit, rugit, grimpe dans les tours. Elle en fait bien plus que ce que son design de conteneur portuaire laisse deviner.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_18255\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18255\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18255\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/04\/Chrysler-300-5.jpg\" alt=\"Tableau de bord\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-18255\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Le \u00ab\u00a0300\u00a0\u00bb n\u2019est pas juste d\u00e9coratif\u2026<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Les Am\u00e9ricains surnommaient cette 300 SRT8 \u00ab la Mercedes E55 AMG du pauvre \u00bb ou \u00ab la Viper \u00e0 quatre portes \u00bb. Et \u00e0 raison. Elle combinait le meilleur des deux &#8211; pour bien moins cher. Chrysler avait bel et bien recr\u00e9\u00e9, apr\u00e8s 30 ans, un v\u00e9ritable muscle car \u00e0 quatre portes. Ou alors, comment appeler une berline de plus de 5 m\u00e8tres, de 2 tonnes, qui passe de 0 \u00e0 100 en 5,4 secondes et qui plafonne \u00e0 265 km\/h uniquement parce qu\u2019on l\u2019a brid\u00e9e \u00e9lectroniquement ?<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_18256\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18256\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18256\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/04\/Chrysler-300-6.jpg\" alt=\"Chrysler 300\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-18256\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Si\u00e8ges styl\u00e9s, fermes et classe.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Le_plaisir_avant_le_style\"><\/span>Le plaisir avant le style<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Le design ? On aime ou pas. Comme pour la derni\u00e8re Ford Scorpio ou la Citro\u00ebn C6, il fait d\u00e9bat. Et tant mieux. Le 300C, lui, t\u00e9moigne de la volont\u00e9 passionn\u00e9e de construire une voiture con\u00e7ue pour une chose : faire plaisir au conducteur. 330 kg de charge utile, c\u2019est tout juste pour le conducteur, un passager et un caisson de basses. Moins de 14 litres aux 100 ? Faut pas r\u00eaver. Plut\u00f4t 20. Mais appuyer \u00e0 fond est tellement jubilatoire ! Un V8 HEMI de 6 litres, \u00e7a ne s\u2019ignore pas. Les chevaux, c\u2019est bien. Plus de chevaux, c\u2019est mieux.
