Mais en 1994, Volkswagen a fini par c\u00e9der \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9volution des attentes des clients et a revu s\u00e9rieusement la copie de sa citadine. Le r\u00e9sultat ? Pour la premi\u00e8re fois, les clients peuvent choisir une version 5 portes, une berline d\u00e8s l\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante, puis m\u00eame un break \u00e0 partir de 1997 ! Une diversit\u00e9 qui n\u2019a pas fait que des heureux chez les puristes \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque. Le choc ? Cette nouvelle Polo fr\u00f4le les dimensions d\u2019une Golf !<\/p>\n<p>Aujourd\u2019hui, c\u2019est une excellente nouvelle pour les acheteurs d\u2019occasion. Cette citadine propose un espace \u00e9tonnamment g\u00e9n\u00e9reux et des pi\u00e8ces d\u00e9tach\u00e9es \u00e0 prix imbattable. Volkswagen avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 appliqu\u00e9 son fameux principe de modularit\u00e9 : la Polo 6N partage son \u00e9lectronique et bon nombre de composants avec la Golf III et la Seat Ibiza.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_18298\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18298\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18298\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/04\/Polo-6N-1.jpg\" alt=\"Polo 6N rouge\" width=\"300\" height=\"197\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-18298\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Existe aussi en version 4\/5 portes<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"GTI_et_Harlekin\"><\/span>GTI et Harlekin<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>C\u2019est aussi la premi\u00e8re Polo \u00e0 recevoir le badge GTI, jusque-l\u00e0 r\u00e9serv\u00e9 \u00e0 la Golf. Avec ses 110 chevaux, ce petit bolide offre des performances correctes sans \u00eatre d\u00e9coiffantes. Elle ressemblait \u00e0 nos vieilles voitures rafistol\u00e9es avec des bouts de carrosserie d\u2019origines douteuses, celles qui nous valaient des moqueries. Volkswagen avait pr\u00e9vu 20 exemplaires pour la com\u2019, mais face \u00e0 l\u2019engouement, plus de 3 000 unit\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 produites. Sur la Polo 6N, on retrouve les classiques : corrosion sur les bords de carrosserie, peinture parfois fragile, et du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des motorisations essence, les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/produits\/catalyseurs-12113\/\">catalyseurs<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/produits\/bobines-dallumage-11001\/\">bobines d\u2019allumage<\/a> ou <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/produits\/debitmetre-de-masse-dair-11816\/masse-dair.html\">d\u00e9bitm\u00e8tres<\/a> aiment bien faire des leurs.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, le rev\u00eatement \u00ab soft-touch \u00bb des boutons s\u2019\u00e9caille, les ceintures ne se r\u00e9tractent plus correctement, les vitres \u00e9lectriques peinent \u00e0 bouger \u2013 quand elles fonctionnent \u2013, et la poign\u00e9e de bo\u00eete \u00e0 gants finit toujours par casser. Un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne fr\u00e9quent sur les v\u00e9hicules utilis\u00e9s pour de tr\u00e8s courts trajets. Une bonne chauffe de temps en temps suffit souvent \u00e0 \u00e9vacuer la condensation dans le circuit d\u2019huile.<\/p>\n<p>Les goujons de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/produits\/collecteurs-dechappement-12115\/\">collecteur d\u2019\u00e9chappement<\/a> cassent aussi plus souvent que la moyenne, provoquant des fuites bruyantes et odorantes. Les rivets finissent par l\u00e2cher sous l\u2019effort, la bo\u00eete bouge sur l\u2019essieu et c\u2019est la casse assur\u00e9e. V\u00e9rifiez si une bo\u00eete de remplacement a \u00e9t\u00e9 mont\u00e9e. Nous avons test\u00e9 la version manuelle 60 ch, et franchement, rien ne manquait. L\u2019\u00e9lectronique passe sur la base de la Lupo (au lieu de la Golf III), et divers ajustements techniques et esth\u00e9tiques sont effectu\u00e9s. On le sent \u00e0 bord : les compteurs ronds \u00e0 \u00e9clairage bleu sont agr\u00e9ables, tout est \u00e0 sa place, comme on en a l\u2019habitude chez Volkswagen. Mis \u00e0 part le GTI, ce ne sont pas des voitures sportives, mais ce n\u2019est pas leur ambition. L\u2019espace est correct, le hayon offre un bon volume de chargement, et elles vous emm\u00e8nent partout, sans se faire remarquer. Les airbags, pr\u00e9tensionneurs et appuie-t\u00eates arri\u00e8re n\u2019\u00e9taient pas de s\u00e9rie au d\u00e9but. L\u2019ESP n\u2019appara\u00eet qu\u2019en 1999. Malgr\u00e9 cela, elle offre une s\u00e9curit\u00e9 passive correcte, et une sensation de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 suffisante au quotidien. Les si\u00e8ges enfants trouvent leur place \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re, et avec cinq portes, cette petite voiture s\u2019en sort bien en usage familial.<\/p>\n<p>C\u00f4t\u00e9 prix, on est entre 1 000 et 3 000 \u20ac, et avec des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/\">pi\u00e8ces d\u00e9tach\u00e9es<\/a> aussi bon march\u00e9, difficile de se tromper.
