De m\u00eame, un segment de piston d\u00e9fectueux peut, si le dommage n&rsquo;est pas d\u00e9tect\u00e9 \u00e0 temps, entra\u00eener une panne de moteur on\u00e9reuse.<\/p>\n<h2>Le segment de piston &#8211; un \u00e9l\u00e9ment simple mais essentiel de tout moteur \u00e0 combustion interne<\/h2>\n<p>Dans quasiment tous les moteurs \u00e0 combustion, les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/produits\/pistons-10619\/\">pistons<\/a> sont \u00e9quip\u00e9s de deux, voire trois segments de piston. Les segments sont situ\u00e9s dans la partie sup\u00e9rieure des pistons, les uns en-dessous des autres, dans des rainures sur la paroi ext\u00e9rieure du piston. Les segments de piston ne sont pas des anneaux compl\u00e8tement ferm\u00e9s. Ils pr\u00e9sentent une fente traversante \u00e0 un seul endroit. Ils doivent remplir trois fonctions importantes dans le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/produits\/controle-moteur-et-culasses-107\/\">moteur<\/a>. La premi\u00e8re t\u00e2che, la plus importante, est d&rsquo;assurer l&rsquo;\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 de la chambre de combustion vers le bas, en direction du carter. La deuxi\u00e8me t\u00e2che est de r\u00e9partir uniform\u00e9ment l&rsquo;huile moteur entre le piston et le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/produits\/culasse-10702\/\">cylindre<\/a>. Et pour finir, ils doivent \u00e9vacuer la chaleur de combustion du piston vers l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur du cylindre. En raison des fortes contraintes m\u00e9caniques et thermiques, les segments de piston s&rsquo;usent au fil du temps, voire se brisent en deux ou plusieurs morceaux.<\/p>\n<h2>Comment reconna\u00eetre un ou plusieurs segments de piston d\u00e9fectueux ?<\/h2>\n<p>En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, un segment de piston dure toute une vie de moteur. Certes, l&rsquo;usure augmente avec le temps, ce qui entra\u00eene une hausse de la consommation d&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/produits\/huiles-de-moteur-301\/\">huile<\/a>. Cela est toutefois normal pour un moteur au kilom\u00e9trage \u00e9lev\u00e9. En effet, les bords des segments s&rsquo;arrondissent avec le temps. Ils ne peuvent alors plus aussi bien racler l&rsquo;huile de la paroi du cylindre lors du mouvement descendant du piston. Ainsi, la quantit\u00e9 d&rsquo;huile br\u00fbl\u00e9e dans le cylindre est plus importante et la consommation d&rsquo;huile augmente.<\/p>\n<div class=\"product-slider\" style=\"--swiper-theme-color: cons\u00e9quences plus graves. Un premier signe d&rsquo;un segment de piston plus ou moins d\u00e9t\u00e9rior\u00e9 est une forte augmentation de la consommation d&rsquo;huile. Il faut toutefois surveiller r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement le niveau d&rsquo;huile dans le moteur pour pouvoir constater cette augmentation. Un second signe est une baisse de la puissance du moteur. En effet, le segment de piston d\u00e9fectueux ne peut plus assurer une \u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 optimale de la chambre de combustion. La pression disponible est alors plus faible. Le piston descend alors plus vite lors du cycle de travail du cylindre. Un troisi\u00e8me signe, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement le plus manifeste, d&rsquo;un segment de piston trop us\u00e9 et qui d\u00e9gage une odeur d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able est la fum\u00e9e bleue qui s&rsquo;\u00e9chappe du pot d&rsquo;\u00e9chappement. La situation devient plus co\u00fbteuse lorsque, en raison d&rsquo;une combustion incompl\u00e8te de l&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.motointegrator.fr\/produits\/huiles-liquides-3\/\">huile<\/a>, du charbon d&rsquo;huile s&rsquo;accumule et se d\u00e9pose dans le cylindre. Cela peut finalement conduire \u00e0 des soupapes non \u00e9tanches, \u00e0 des injecteurs qui ne fonctionnent plus correctement et \u00e0 un grippage des segments de piston dans les rainures des pistons. Cela peut endommager la surface de contact du cylindre r\u00e9duisant davantage la puissance du moteur, ne serait-ce qu&rsquo;en raison de la compression r\u00e9duite.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le pire des cas, il peut y avoir une rupture du film d&rsquo;huile et une augmentation de la friction. Cela peut aller jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 provoquer ce que l&rsquo;on appelle une soudure par friction entre le piston et le cylindre. Le piston et le cylindre sont alors fermement li\u00e9s en une fraction de seconde et le moteur s&rsquo;arr\u00eate presque instantan\u00e9ment. C&rsquo;est le grippage classique du piston. La r\u00e9paration du moteur est alors complexe et co\u00fbteuse.
